college

Just a few days ago i had gone up to Tyler TX to go to my college orientation.
Ad just like that i had gotten homesick the first day, i accidentally locked my self out of my dorm but at least my room mate came in time (nice girl btw), 
and well i'll say it, I'm not used to being around a large amount of black kids with white kids being almost half the amount of students in the registration office. I've never felt like a small number my whole life, everyone there was so nice though. I could ask questions with ease and not feel annoying towards other people. Oh yeah, if you're years before college and following me please from advise from me ask all the questions you want because they really do want to help you. My dorm room was a nice medium size room with just 2 of everything. Where I'm gonna be living if very hilly so i got a nice view of the city from where my room was. I can't drive so i had to walk every where but i didn't mind, the only thing was this was a very big campus for a junior college so i got very overwhelmed by it all. I think my favorite part of it all was just the fact i got breakfast, lunch and dinner all day buffet style and for school food i was amazed. I'm also having a hard time dealing with the fact i'm gonna be 9 hours away from home...9 hours. When i told other people where i was from i think i got the hint i was the only kid from south texas going there. I'm majoring in Dance and minoring in kinesiology, after two years i will be heading to Texas State University.
